Congratulations to Michelle Hippolite on her appointment as Executive National Director, Hauora Māori Services at Health New Zealand.
Michelle has longstanding connections to Te Tauihu through the Hippolite whānau and brings extensive experience in Māori development and public service leadership to the role.
We also want to take this opportunity to acknowledge Selah Hart, who has been serving as Interim Executive National Director and is now returning to her substantive role within Hauora Māori Services and taking up a newly established role as Deputy National Director as well.
Selah is born and bred in Wairau with whakapapa to nearly all Te Tauihu iwi, and we’re enormously proud of the way she has represented and championed our rohe and Māori mā across the motu. Throughout her time in the national role, she has been a strong supporter of Te Kāhui Hauora and the mahi happening here in Te Tauihu. Her commitment to our iwi and whānau has not gone unnoticed, and we’re grateful for the relationships she has built and the support she continues to give.
